  • Something from Her Hands: Minerva Petrascu's Needlework- At the turn of the twentieth century, Minerva studied knitting, crocheting, knotting (macram&eactue), weaving, hand sewing, and many types of decorative stitching in her native Romania before immigrating to Canada. The quantity, quality, and variety of her surviving needlework led Evelyn Jonescu, whose husband was Minerva's nephew, to preserve Minerva's needlework. (Evelyn Jonescu)

Worked in silk and metallic threads, the design is ideal for framing or decorating a needlework toolbox.
  • A Bracelet to Knit with Wire- Knitters ready for a challenge will enjoy knitting this simple yet elegant bracelet from wire and seed beads. Adapted from Knitting with Wire by Nancie M. Wiseman.
  • A Unicorn Purse to Needlepoint- Outlines stitched in gold and silver metallic threads add a shimmer to the mythological unicorn motif, here worked with fine wool yarn on this easy-to-assemble purse designed and stitched by Nicky Epstein.
