Monk's Belt and Bias Cloth StripsCloth cut on the bias (45-degree diagonal) is stretchy and easy to mold. As pattern weft, it constricts to intersect the ground fabric and then flares out to provide coverage for floats. Bias doesn't ravel but forms short fringes on each side of the strip.
